It was surprising to me as well. Never been to Winnepeg and only a bit in Canada. However, we will be touring as much of N. Oh yes! After reading your post it sounds like a great place to go. What I find very important about the places I am visiting are the people. It;s really nice when they are friendly and hospitable. That is a reason alone to visit a place.
I would love to visit the museum of human rights. The architecture caught my eye and I could imagine the exhibitions are really interesting. Looks like a fun city for a visit. Definitely good to know about the arts and entertainment. I would have thought there would be oodles of mosquitos, too.

The museum for human rights sounds intriguing. I wish it had more of a community feel like in Toronto, where people are always downtown to eat, shop, hang out and explore. However, Osborne Village is really great and it has more of that feel. I am glad you discovered that area!
