Can you swim in punta cana

Uvero Alto is an option as well, you can walk for miles there without having too much hustle and bustle. All of these beaches sound beautiful! I was supposed to be in the DR this week, very disappointed that I was able to. One day. It would be hard to pick from these, but I think Playa de Arena Gorda would be a top choice for me. The less crowded the better. Uvero Alto wound come in a close second. I hope you can repeat your trip soon.

If you need any help planning your new holiday in Punta Cana, let me know or check back here on the page. Punta Cana looks like a real luxurious beach destination. Playa Uvero Alto is flat and beautiful indeed gives a lot of oppurtunities to play around. Would love to dig few beach clubs in Playa Los Corales. Stunning pictures all of it. Thank you Debjani! I would not call Punta Cana a luxurious beach destination, but you are definitely right, there are some posh parts about it, including some elegant beach clubs.

But the beaches in Punta Cana are very nice, indeed. Punta Cana is a place I have very fond memories of. My friend got married there and I was there for a very short visit, so did not have time to explore all its beautiful beaches.

What a great memory, Ann! There are indeed a lot of weddings in Punta Cana, we see them all the time when we do our walks along the beach. Yes, next time you should explore more from the area and the Dominican Republic in general, it is such a beautiful and diversified country. Well, its often very difficult to decide which one is the best beach. But then it all depends on what we are looking for and the activities offered, distance from the hotel.

As far as beautiful stretch is considered, I would love to see Playa Juanillo. I like spacious beaches and less crowded ones. Playa Bavaro or Bavaro Beach is the main beach and gets lot of crowd but it looks lovely. Thanks for your comment, Manjulika. Well, there is a beach for every taste in Punta Cana. Okay I was hooked on that first photo… wow how stunning does that look! I have seen many photos before and always assumed it was one beach!

But they all have different characteristics. Playa Juanillo is just such a chill, cool beach! I love the vibes there! It is clear to understand why Playa Macao is a local favorite. It is hard not to fall in love with Punta Cana beaches. Thank you for lifting my travel spirits and sharing these beautiful beaches! You are welcome Kaitlin! Come on over here when travel lockdown is over, Punta Cana is waiting for you! Awesome blog man…we have spent some time Twice in the DR and absolutely love the people, the food, music and beaches.

But we have not visited Punta Cana yet. Looks like we might need to add it to the itinerary on our next visit! Hey Mike, as you have already seen the gorgeous and unspoiled parts of the Dominican Republic, Punta Cana is not a must-do for you as everything is more touristy, more expensive and less Dominican in this part. However, if you are looking for a worry-free all-inclusive holiday, Punta Cana is hard to beat in the Caribbean. We love sharing with all our visitors some tips that will help them to take care of the environment so our animals can live in a greener world and at the same time teach them about the special nutritional and health programs we have at Dolphin Discovery for every different species that we have.

Although all are located on the Atlantic Ocean, some tend to have calmer waters when the beach slopes gradually into the water.

Except where noted, beach snorkeling typically is limited due to heavy boat traffic. Good reefs tend to be offshore. Water temperatures reach a winter low in the upper 70s and go to a summer high in the upper 80s. One of the most beautiful beaches in the Dominican Republic and considered by many the best beach of the East Coast , this gorgeous palm-filled coastline usually is not crowded. Until a few years ago it was a very small village of fishermen a few miles from the Punta Cana Airport.

The entire village was purchased as part of a very large project called Cap Cana , that today includes different hotels such as Sanctuary, Alsol and Fishing Lodge. While Juanillo was at one time accessible to the public, it is now only accessible to people staying at one of the Cap Cana hotels and to property owners within the Cap Cana project and their guests. Locals are usually not allowed to enter. For tourists and visitors the security usually is more flexible and allow them to enter.

Chic, cool and casual! The Caribbean water is crystal clear , lagoon-like as you can walk for quite a distance without getting in over your head. The water almost appears white in some areas. The sand is very white, with palm trees and gardens lining the restaurant and beach. There is an exquisite palm grove where private parties are catered to by Playa Blanca Restaurant.

The tropical and international menu is excellent and the drinks divine! This popular beach offers decent beach snorkeling in shallows at the Catalonia Bavaro Resort and the boat-traffic free side of the Catalonia Royal Bavaro resort, which has public access. Cabeza de Toro beach is the perfect place if you want to be surrounded by the natural beautiful forests and wildlife of Punta Cana.
